The Gentry Ewing Foundation Takes Flight

Recently, comedian, creator, and recording artist Dustin Michael Hensley experienced a life changing event, losing his six-year-old pup, Gentry, to Stage IVB Lymphoma over the course of just six weeks between diagnosis and loss.

While taking Gentry for his countless treatments and care, he realized there were families losing beloved animals to cancer, and that the expense for treatment can cripple someone with limited resources, or force them to choose between helping and giving up. Gentry’s loss inspired Dustin Michael to use his 300,000+ social media following to kick off The Gentry Ewing Foundation in June 2026. We are proud to be able to share Dustin Michael and Gentry’s story, and spread the news to help grow their fund, enabling them to help other people with pet health crises.

The Foundation will insure that 100% of every dollar donated to the the The Gentry Ewing Foundation will go directly to assist families and individuals who have pets afflicted with cancer, and their diagnosis, treatment, and more, by distributing the funds to the veterinary clinics that provide care. All donations are tax deductible, as the Veterinary Care Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.
